COME COOKALONG!
How I Cook: “I cook with wine, sometimes I even add it to the food.”
― W.C. Fields
A Good Reason to Cook: “There is no spectacle on earth more appealing than that of a beautiful woman in the act of cooking dinner for someone she loves.”
― Thomas Wolfe
A Useful Excuse: “It ain’t burnt… it’s blackened.”
― Bunny Mathews
What I Learned: “No one is born a great cook, one learns by doing.”
― Julia Child
My Cooking Philosophy: “Ingredients trump appliances,
passion supersedes expertise,
creativity triumphs over technique,
spontaneity inspires invention,
and wine makes even the worst culinary disaster taste delicious.”

Stay tuned as we add more details and info. I’ll notify you in this event stream when we do! 🙂
There is nothing more tempting, mouthwatering, and frustrating than virtual food… 🙂 😦
Haha, sorry! I find foodie posts inspiring….get’s me off the computer 😀
At first glance, I thought this was going to be a post about the sustainability of mealworms as food. Not to disparage the picture, but I’m always expecting something “science-y” from Rajini.
Oh wow! This might well be work waking up early on a Sunday morning for Rajini Rao 🙂
blackened….I prefer the term caramelised 😉LOL, you are not the first to be confused by a “macro” photo of Basmati rice, BiologyCorner !
Dave Harris , I just set off the smoke detector, no kidding. It’s always exciting in the kitchen, isn’t it? 😛
How about I FedEx you some Pulao in exchange for Dino pancakes in some exciting maneuver, Feisal Kamil ?
O_o, Feisal Kamil , LOL!
Hoping to catch the video 🙂 Rajini Rao. No one wants to see me at 7:00 am!
There’s no video, thankfully so Cheryl Ann MacDonald . Shinae’s cookalongs are low key events with a bunch of people literally cooking together in their kitchens and posting pictures of their versions. I’ll be on hand to answer questions and provide detailed recipes. Just check back for yummy pix from other G plussers, if it’s too early for you to cook (should be 10 am your time).
OK…I will indeed check back on Sunday…..if it is 10 am pacific time. Seems like a fun event to tag along sometime. Hope you’re well!
I’m well, Cheryl Ann MacDonald , thank you! Hope you are too.
wah, kya baat hai !
Hungry, guruprasad .g.l ? 🙂

Enjoy Diwali, guruprasad .g.l !
thanks Rajini, bit early though Diwali wishes to you and family as well
+1 on your cooking philosophy Rajini Rao ! Unfortunately this event is like way late on IST. Wait, no video? Hangouts can be recorded I guess. Or I’ll settle for the pics and recipe.
I wish I could eat them.
What’s on the menu? 🙂
Just photos and questions, so you can check them out any time yasin jeshima 🙂
Thanks, Rahul Joshi ..a video hangout on cooking would be fun- if you agree to cook along too.
Achintya Rao , straightforward menu that showcases spices and Basmati rice: https://plus.google.com/u/0/105466596306740968847/posts/E2efQoeWsFk
Rajini Rao Agree. I’m not much of a cook though. Not to feel out of place, I can sit on the sidelines drinking wine, providing my expert commentary on everything else.
