And welcome Buddhini Samarasinghe as our new permanent co-curator and Richard Smith our guest co-curator today.

  5. Rajini Rao says:

    Ooh, will edit, thanks Chad!

  6. Chad Haney says:

I’ve been stuck in a maze with this brain size Telegraph article. I have 8 tabs open and still digging around.

  7. Cadbury UK

    This, and a chocolate keyboard.

    Please 😛

  8. Rajini Rao says:

Hmm…I thought Tommy Leung had it pretty much covered. Keep it simple, Chad Haney . It’s a case of false attribution, isn’t it? Misuse of an image for sensational appeal.

  9. Rajini Rao says:

Ohhhh, a chocolate keyboard is a great idea too, Asbjørn Grandt 🙂

  10. Chad Haney says:

That’s the gist of it but of course I wanted to get at the science. No one linked to the PNAS article which I just found.

  11. Panah Rad says:

    awesome 🙂

  12. Ann Hetzel says:

    FAN-tastic! Thanks! Rajini Rao

  13. Jim Carver says:

I always thought white chocolate tasted like aluminum. This proves it. haha

  14. Mary T says:

If only I’d had a dark chocolate periodic table in college.  Maybe I would not have needed the handsome tutor I relied on to get me through chemistry, LOL!

  15. One problem Mara Rose, You’d only have gotten through the table once…per table. 😛

  16. Mary T says:

    Asbjørn Grandt 😛

  17. Rajini Rao says:

You had a handsome tutor, Mara Rose ? Why didn’t I think of that 😛

  18. Mary T says:

Sink or swim, Rajini Rao 🙂

  19. Job Spijker says:

Why aren’t the noble gases made out of pure chocolate?

  20. Rajini Rao says:

Hmmm….they are white, flecked with dark chocolate, perhaps that is “noble” in it’s exclusiveness? 🙂 Why is Helium left out?

  21. That’s so cool, but it would pain me to eat such an lovely celebration of the elements (I would still do it, mind you, but it would pain me)

  22. Rajini Rao says:

I might eat some of the inert elements, but never the monovalent or divalent cations (I work with transporters of H+, Li+, Na+, K+, and Ca2+).  🙂

  23. That’s really a good one depicting periodic table!!  How did you get that or it is morphed?

  24. Rajini Rao says:

Prabakaran Krishanmurthi , the source is listed in the link in the original post. It has been shared so many times that the original source cannot be easily traced. I suspect it has been made graphically 🙂

  25. yum yum…. Periodic Table can’t become more tastier 🙂

  26. Rajini Rao says:

Just avoid As Sudhanshu Pathania 🙂

  27. 42245 = great !    How many more to win the presidential elections !!!

  28. Rajini Rao says:

LOL, Avinash Dixit , why must I be punished?!

  29. Rajini Rao says:

Start with Cd, Feisal Kamil . It’s the symbol for Cadbury.

  30. Rajini Rao says:

Smart move, Feisal Kamil ! Can’t go wrong with chocolates.

  31. hi….my name is suresh iam your new friend

  32. Mary T says:

Feisal Kamil Maybe he needs the right phone number, hehe!

  33. Chad Haney says:

    That’s Buddhini Samarasinghe I’m only a copy-cat.

  34. Mary T says:

It’s such a great plan, Chad Haney I almost handed him the number last PM since you weren’t here.  But he’d taken the hint already.

  35. Haha you gave him the special number? where?!

  36. Mary T says:

Buddhini Samarasinghe He went away, so I didn’t bother.  I’d gotten it from the other comment thread.  But if he hit on Rajini again, I was prepared.

  37. Rajini Rao says:

Hi ladies, I did get a couple of declarations of love on one of the Korea pictures today, LOL. Serves me right for putting up my mugshot.

  38. Chad Haney says:

I love you too, Rajini Rao

  39. Rajini Rao says:

    Oh, you RAJEEV!!

  40. Mary T says:

Chad Haney You already have the number, lol, :P.

  41. Rajini Rao says:

Yes, call that number Chad Haney ! 😉

  42. Chad Haney says:

but I want to call you ladies.

  43. Ah, now I feel like I am in my element.

    (Chocolate I mean…)

  44. Rajini Rao says:

John Christopher , the specificity of your element determines the chemical reactions: bittersweet, dark, milk or white? 🙂

  45. Dark, sweet and mysterious  🙂

  46. Chad Haney says:

    Apparently I’m half white, Rajini.

  47. Rajini Rao says:

Gentlemen, I’m partial to nuts 🙂

  48. Rajini Rao Talking about periodic table, do you know Mendeleev used samskrta when he first formed the table? ref:

    http://arxiv.org/pdf/physics/0411080

  49. Hajdar Mziu says:

to me looks like a keyboard 😀

  50. Rajini Rao says:

It does, and that makes it doubly sweet, Hajdar Mziu 🙂
