Just in..US credit rating downgraded to AA+ for the first time in history. Lower than UK, Canada, France and Germany. Purely as a result of a manufactured crisis.

    The downgrade is not due to the crisis but due to the political mess that not only manufactured the crisis but ensures that it will not be resolved.

    Its going to be an interesting Sunday when the asian markets open. Even more interesting will be its impact on state and municipal budgets which are quite leveraged.It is actually quite surreal when I think about it.
