This one looks very similar to katydids in the genus “copiphora” that I’ve seen in Panama. Hopefully it’s not as bitey as C. brevirostris.
They bite people, really? I had no idea.
Well, granted, I was trying to glue a radio transmitter to their back, but they were definitely not above kicking or biting to try and stop me.
Haha, yes..those would be extenuating circumstances. Must have been very tiny transmitters..sounds like interesting research Hannah Grimm !
