I sang soprano for Handel’s Messiah in college, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. I didn’t know that it was tradition for the audience to stand up for the Hallelujah chorus, so it was an amazing surprise to see everyone in the packed theater rise up together. I think I almost cried with joy afterwards – it was so uplifting.

I also sang soprano with a choir a few years ago for the Messiah; this Tuesday I’ll attending a free dress rehearsal of the Vancouver Bach Choir, at the Point Grey United Church, which is open to the public. Perhaps some of you can be there; they’re always great performers, especially the young classes 🙂
Oksana Szulhan , we may all move to Canada one of these days, the way things are going here 🙂 Enjoy the choir performance..the closest I’ve been to Vancouver/BC is Alberta..Calgary and Banff are popular for conferences. Lovely part of the continent.
Banff is better than Calgary – no tar sands :-), but Vancouver is beautiful.
