Albert Tremblay , yes! Diatomaceous structures are made up of mineral like stuff, no?

There is a ted talk about growing diatoms to feed the ecology.
Like grass on the land..I like that analogy, Albert Tremblay ! But these crystals are quite soft and will probably disintegrate to the touch..just protein with some lipid (sort of like fat) 🙂
