The movie Contagion premiered this week. So did a study attempting to count all the living species of life on this earth. With insects making up 85% of that count, they would seem to be the winners. But the President of the American Society for Microbiologists sent us an email today, saying, “The microbes beg to differ”!

How could you forget the microbes? It’s not like they’re a zombie virus or something. Viruses aren’t actually “alive” so to speak, so I could understand the disclosure of that classification.
To write the obvious, that’s assuming, of course, that quantity wins. 🙂
