  1. LOL. Occupy and jam the mother****.

  2. Unknown's avatar Rajini Rao says:

Haha, I had to put aside my prejudice for these gals.

  3. Science needs more cheerleaders.

  4. Unknown's avatar Bob Libra says:

Go science ladies! And by the way – Woof 🙂

  5. Unknown's avatar Rajini Rao says:

Why doesn’t Hollywood cast them as scientists? 🙂

  6. Unknown's avatar Fred Gandt says:

What so not all pretty blonde girls are dumb?

    Who’d have guessed?!

This sarcasm was brought to you courtesy of me 🙂

  7. Unknown's avatar Rajini Rao says:

Just to be fair, let’s include the brunettes too 🙂

  8. Unknown's avatar Fred Gandt says:

Who ever heard of a dumb brunette?

    That’s just silly! 😉

  9. Unknown's avatar Tom Lee says:

Brainy pretty cheerleaders. Like everything else, stereotyping anything is to walking into a trap.

  10. Unknown's avatar Rajini Rao says:

LOL, so much restraint in the comments. So much for my provocative lede 😉

  11. Unknown's avatar Tom Lee says:

Those are beautiful girls. Engineers would be delighted to have a date with any of them! 🙂

  12. Should be nice to have them in labs I guess.

  13. Tom Lee They are engineers!

  14. Unknown's avatar Rajini Rao says:

Interestingly, there was a Washington Redskins cheerleader in our graduate program. She did get a lot of negative flack from faculty. I had to stand up for her, because it’s not okay to ask someone to choose between cheerleading and a thesis (that would have been like asking a woman to choose between having children or a career). Eventually she did graduate with a PhD.

  15. Unknown's avatar Rajini Rao says:

Good catch, Michael R ! Perhaps Tom Lee was referring to lesbian engineers O.o

  16. Unknown's avatar Tom Lee says:

Michael R I know ! engrs dating engrs is just perfect.

  17. Unknown's avatar Tom Lee says:

Not that Rajini Rao it’s not easy to meet a female engineer. When I was in college the female engineering students / male e. students ratio is like 5 to 100.

  18. Unknown's avatar Rajini Rao says:

Probably still that way, Tom Lee . In the biomedical side, there are now more women PhD’s than men. Our incoming class has only 3 guys, rest (~15) are women.

  19. Unknown's avatar Tom Lee says:

Interesting. Perhaps male students are more into computer science, mechanical, electrical. Another aspect, getting a doctorate required a lot more patience and, correct me if I’m wrong, male students have less patience. Don’t tell José P. Llongueras and Chad Haney of  what I said! 🙂

  20. Unknown's avatar Chad Haney says:

Unfortunately, the ratio improved and is improving, long after I graduated. I went to a tech school for my BS. Talk about sausage parties. I was smart enough to hang out with the architects and design students.

  21. Unknown's avatar Tom Lee says:

I agree about the ratio. Latest statistics proved that. Female students can be pretty smart. I’ve met one with a perfect SAT score, a varsity swimmer, runner, wrote opera music when she was still in high school, went to Stanford and all that, …amazing.

  22. Unknown's avatar Tom Lee says:

Feisal Kamil you never know ! 🙂 how about a handsome, smart and successful engineer ?

  23. Unknown's avatar Chad Haney says:

But I’m married already. Oh, wait, you were talking about someone else?

  24. Unknown's avatar Rajini Rao says:

Surely “handsome”, “smart” and “successful” are redundant with “engineer” ..same thing? 😉

  25. Unknown's avatar Chad Haney says:

LOL Rajini Rao I hadn’t seen that one before. FYI, Tom Lee Mr. RR is an engineer.

  26. Unknown's avatar Chad Haney says:

I have two engineering degrees. Just sayin’.

  27. Unknown's avatar Rajini Rao says:

    But you’re married 😦

  28. Unknown's avatar Chad Haney says:

Now I know why Gnotic Pasta is in Idaho. Wait, I’m thinking of Utah. Carry on.

  29. Unknown's avatar Tom Lee says:

Chad Haney married engineer is not eligible!

Rajini Rao It’s hard to be “all of the above”. But if a guy has all those features, it’s not hard to meet one of those smart girls, I don’t think.

  30. Unknown's avatar Rajini Rao says:

Idaho, Utah..they’re all in the vast middle somewhere 😉 Gnotic Pasta must know something about female engineers. He’s always begging off our conversations to go off on a date. Tom Lee , most engineers (all?) I know are all of the above 🙂

  31. Unknown's avatar Chad Haney says:

Rajini Rao you don’t know many engineers. hehe. Your sample size is too small. Size matters in this case.

  32. Unknown's avatar Tom Lee says:

Not always the case Rajini Rao most I know are not “all of the above” type. Some has 2 out of 3. But rarely 3. The handsome part is wysiwyg (What you see is what you get).

  33. Unknown's avatar Rajini Rao says:

LOL, it’s speed not size! The speedy ones get their girls (or guys) first.

  34. Unknown's avatar Chad Haney says:

Tom Lee you can’t say that Apple patented WYSIWYG.

  35. Unknown's avatar Tom Lee says:

Chad Haney  wysiwyg has been around since the Altair computer for heaven’s sake. Good luck Apple !

Rajini Rao warp speed would scare the girl away!

  36. Unknown's avatar Rajini Rao says:

The only problem with engineers is this apple bee in their bonnet, lol.

  37. Unknown's avatar Chad Haney says:

In all honesty and seriousness, most engineers, including me, are slow and stupid when it comes to the opposite sex. You almost have to get hit by a sledgehammer to get a clue. In my defense, undergrad was very expensive, so I focused on studying. My girlfriend found me and had her friends ask me out.

  38. Unknown's avatar Tom Lee says:

Chad Haney unless you were in a rock band ! 🙂 music can cheer up your aggressiveness.

  39. Unknown's avatar Rajini Rao says:

Very sweet, literally and figuratively Tom Lee . Thanks!

  40. Unknown's avatar Brad Seiler says:

Can we take a moment to slow clap for the one who practiced law before becoming an ER doctor? Please? Holy sh!t that is a lot of work and smarts.

  41. Girlstart should come see. 🙂

  42. “Busting!!!” indeed :))
